Proudly Supporting The Global Alliance for Animals and People

The Again Co x The GAAP

The climate crisis isn’t just a human problem. There are good reasons to frame it as such, but the reality is that it impacts every living thing. We therefore have a duty to ensure that whatever solutions we come up with take everyone and everything that’s impacted into account.

The work we’re doing in the apparel industry is directly linked to the well-being of every ecosystem on Earth. For example, the mountain of textile waste that is generated by the apparel industry makes its ways into oceans, rivers, and waterways that support every human, animal, and plant community. Stopping that waste helps all of them.

That’s why today we’re proud to announce our partnership with The Global Alliance for People and Animals. The GAAP works with communities across Latin America and Canada to bring together multiple disciplines to collaborate on the sustainable improvement of health for all. Their One Health approach combines veterinary, sociological, and ecological expertise to produce long-term mitigation strategies to the complex, multi-factorial, and multi-species health problems facing our planet. From providing essential veterinary care to indigenous communities to educating animal welfare champions and building networks among experts who can help to protect the future of wild animals, The GAAP is committed to making a difference by partnering with local communities to build strategies that work for them. By working together, we hope to raise awareness of the interconnectedness of climate change and boost the impact of our efforts.

At The GAAP, we care deeply for individual animals—but our mission goes further. We partner with communities to build solutions that improve the health of entire animal populations and the people who live alongside them. Our collaboration with Again Co. helps amplify this long-term, One Health approach at a moment when the world urgently needs sustainable, collective action. - Elena Garde, Co-founder and Senior Veterinarian, The GAAP

We hope you’ll join us in supporting the critical work The GAAP is doing, particularly in these times where funding for sustainability initiatives is scarce. If you can afford to make a donation, you may do so here. If not, please share this post with your network to help raise awareness of their work.
