2025 Year in Review

It seems like it was only yesterday that we were saying hello to 2025. Now we’re already saying goodbye. It’s been a busy year. We rarely had an opportunity to stop and reflect on everything that happened.

It was a turbulent year from a geopolitical and supply chain perspective. It was a year of change and evolution, of constantly adapting to new challenges and unfamiliar situations. But it was also a year of successes and new beginnings. We’d like to take some time to celebrate those moments as we begin the new year.

New Partnerships

We welcomed several new brand partners in 2025, including Heart’s Desire (a sustainable women’s apparel brand based in Texas), Hobby Horse (the one-stop destination for high-quality Western show clothing), and Baabuk (the Swiss footwear and accessories brand known for its naturally sustainable wool products).

Together, we launched a wide variety of pre-loved programs, including peer-to-peer marketplaces and resale stores that feature returns, samples, and surplus inventory sold directly by the brands.

No two projects were the same, and we learned something new from each. We enjoyed getting to know all of our new partners, learning about their goals and philosophies, and designing incredible pre-loved programs with them. We’re grateful for these partnerships and for the opportunity to help them drive their sustainability resale forward in 2026 and beyond.

New Markets

For the first time in our history, we expanded into an international market. In partnership with Baabuk, we launched a resale program in Switzerland. As part of this expansion, we introduced an integration with Swiss Post to allow Swiss shoppers to use local shipping, expanded payout options to allow Swiss sellers to receive funds in Swiss Francs, and even built an automated location detector to help drive shoppers to their regional stores.

We learned a lot about the Swiss market during this expansion, and hope to partner with more Swiss brands to bring pre-loved options to their customers in Switzerland.

New Features

During all of the go-lives and global expansion, we continued to evolve and expand our resale platform. Here are just a few of the highlights from the past year:

  • Authorized retailers - – We empowered brands to invite their retailers to participate in their pre-loved programs directly. Retailers can create business accounts and list their returns and other unsold inventory in the brand’s marketplace. Retailer listings and profiles feature an exclusive “authorized retailer” badge, and shoppers can easily find these listings by filtering search and browse results by seller type. Brands can even offer retailers a special commission that is different from the rate they charge other sellers.
  • New sponsored promotions – We continued to expand our marketing capabilities by adding several new sponsored promotions, including abandoned cart and win-back campaigns, and promotions for newsletter registrations. These promotions help drive engagement and sales. These campaigns are a key part of our investment in the success of our partners’ resale programs.
  • Automatic discounting – To help listings sell as quickly as possible, we introduced the option for sellers (individuals and brands) to set up automatic discounts. The rate and maximum discount are completely controlled by the seller. Discounted items are even featured in our weekly newsletter to increase reach.
  • Revamped and streamlined listing process – We continued to focus on streamlining the listing process for sellers. Every second counts during this process, and we were able to trim the process down to as little as 20 seconds thanks to a series of automations and a single-page, tap-to-select, workflow.

What's next for 2026

The coming year promises to be even bigger than the last. We’re planning on introducing new tools for brands to engage more deeply with their customers, as well as refining the shopping experience further to maximize return visits and sales.

Our new authorized retailer feature will play a central role in driving more adoption of resale across a brand’s entire sales ecosystem. As more retailer come online, more pre-loved inventory will flow into resale stores, which will create more opportunities for sales and customer engagement.

We’re also planning on expanding our international reach to new markets in Europe.

We expect 2026 to be our watershed year – the year that sees resale becoming table stakes for all retailers, and a valuable channel on its own. We are ready to support our existing partners and all the new partners that will join us this year. It’s going to be a year for the record books… Happy new year!
