Happy birthday to us!
Today we’re celebrating our second birthday. Celebrating a birthday is more than just marking the passage of time. It’s an opportunity to reflect on what we’ve accomplished during the year. With that in mind, we thought we’d share some of those accomplishments.
Last April we debuted our circularity platform, which at that time focused on helping brands manage peer-to-peer marketplaces. The launch of our Shopify integration quickly followed. That integration allowed us to on-board customers in minutes, launch their marketplaces in days, and largely automate the day-to-day operation of their marketplaces.
Shortly after our launched we welcomed our first customers. Through these partnerships we learned volumes about the industry and the challenges it faces. We’re deeply grateful to them for giving us a chance to prove ourselves, and for their continued support in helping us do even more to address the industry’s challenges.
Through those early experienced we began to understand that brands want the flexibility to build a circularity program that’s right for them, which doesn’t always include peer-to-peer resale. So, we set out to expand our platform to support trade-in programs and resale of surplus inventory. We launched both of these updates earlier this year. Brands can now mix and match the different circularity models that we support into a program that meets their needs.
We launched our Advisory Board in June, and welcomed Cynthia Power and Malaika Boysen Haaning as our inaugural class of advisors. Their feedback and industry insights have been (and continue to be) incredibly valuable.
In February we launched our redesigned website to showcase the power of our evolving platform, its flexibility, and the industry’s only commission-based pricing. Our goal is to help brands of all sizes adopt circularity programs because we believe that meaningful and lasting change is only possible if everyone gets involved.
Each new customer that we brought on-board since has brought a new perspective and new ideas. We’ve been working hard to turn those ideas into new features for the benefit of all of our customers. These features include a streamlined checkout experience, integrated gift card issuance, seller ratings, and more automation. We’ll be announcing some more exciting updates soon.
We’re passionate about the work that we’re doing to help brands of every size adopt circular business models. It’s been wonderful to watch our team come together behind a common vision and execute on it so well. We look forward to making an even bigger impact in the coming year and beyond.
